Finance Intranet
An important requirement is sharp financial supervision, as part of the Sarbanes Oxley Act 2002, an extensive compliancy program is started by Black Box.
CS has contributed to this. An intranet has been developed where all EMEA offices can enter financial information daily, weekly and monthly. Application areas include Cash Reporting, Cash Forecasting, Daily Cost & Revenue Reporting. Other components are Full Document repository, office contact listing, Product Review Management site and a Marketing Initiatives site.
Enterprise application
BlackBox is a globally operating company with dozens of branches in all continents of the world. This means different currencies and deadlines regarding several different time zones. In addition, there is also a multitude of legacy applications and their different financial accounting standards. Because BlackBox is listed on the U.S. Nasdaq stock exchange, all financial reporting must be conducted through a 4-4-5 calendar.
Despite all these requirements the end result has become an user-friendly, extensible application.
